Kazumi Tsukamoto studied composition at Tokyo University of the Arts with Teizo Matsumura, Kenjiro Urata, Izumi Yamada, and graduated with honor performance of his work. Winning the 16th
and 25th Composition Awards by Japan Symphony Foundation, his orchestra works have been much acclaimed for their eminent combination of novelty and pureness with stable national traits, while his fine chamber pieces include “CENOTE”, the Universal Marimba Composition Competition 2009/2nd Prize & Publishing Prize-winning work. He is currently a professor at music department of Tokoha University.
